Two Owensville Missouri Residents were injured in a two vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Texas County. The Highway Patrol reports that 78 year old Tonie Helmig and 67 year old Linda Merrell both suffered moderate injuries when Merrell crossed the centerline and hit a truck driven by 43 year old Travis Tooley of Willow Springs. Both Merrell and Helmig wer taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston. The accident happened on U.S 63 about 5 miles south of Houston around 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
