Independence County Authorities are investigating a burglary a local church. The pastor of the church on St Louis Street in Batesville told police the church was in the process of building an addition and several items were taken from the addition including several power and hand tool, a compressor and building materials. The items have an estimated value of around $4,500. Authorities believe the thief gained entry through an unlocked window. Authorities do have a person of interest in the case.
