A Man from Ava was injured in a one vehicle accident Thursday afternoon north of Ava. The Highway Patrol reports that 22 year old Jacob McNeil suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and hit several trees. McNeil was also cited for resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked. The accident happened on Old Highway 5 about 6 miles north of Ava.
