A West Plains teen suffered serious injuries in a one vehicle accident east of West Plains. The Highway Patrol reports that 17 year old John Long was injured when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road and hit a tree. He was taken to Ozarks Medical center then flown to Mercy hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on highway ZZ about 5 miles south of West Plains.
