Former Thayer Resident Michael Tyler has re-signed an exclusive songwriter agreement with Perrmusic. Tyler’s first RIAA platinum multi week Number 1 single “Somewhere on a Beach” by Dierks Bentley earned him SESAC’s song of the year award in 2016. Tyler was named Billboard’s artist to watch in 2017 and was ranked Rollingstone’s 10 new artist to watch and has over 9.9 million streams on spotify.
Tyler’s accomplishments in Nashville include six cuts on the new Jason Aldean album 9 which was released by BBR Music Group/BMG on November 22 and entered charts this week with a No.1 debut on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (dated December 7) and No.2 on Billboard 200.
