
The Hunger Hero campaign wrapped up this week at area elementary schools and the Thayer Elementary School won the traveling trophy for collecting the most items, bringing in 5,035 items, Mammoth Spring was a close second at 4,848, Alton collected 2,377, Couch collected 1,055 and Koshkonong collected just over 1,000. Winning classes at each school will get pizza parties for collecting the most items. At Thayer it was Mrs. Thornton’s 6th grade with 1,024. At Mammoth Spring Mrs. Smoot’s preschool won collecting 437, at Alton it was Mrs. Snyder’s 5th grade with 620 items, at Couch Ms. Mullins Kindergarden collected 273 and at Koshkonong Ms. Brassfield’s 2nd grade won. Donations for Hunger Hero are still being accepted through December 24th at our sponsoring locations including FNBC in Mammoth Spring, Ozarka College In Mammoth Spring, OMC Thayer Mammoth Spring Clinic and Community First Banking Company in Thayer
