A man from Mississippi has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in Independence County for internet stalking of a child. 23 year old Jason James Leija pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. He must also register as a sex offender. Leija thought he was talking to a 15 year old Batesville teen and drove three hours to meet the girl. Leija was instead met by officers from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department. `
