A Former Izard County Sheriff has been appointed Sheriff again in Izard County. Jack Yancey will fill the unexpired term of Sheriff Earnie Blackley who recently passed away after a battle with cancer. Yancey was sheriff from 1979 to 1990, he also served as sheriff after the death of former sheriff Tate Lawrence in 2017.
