A fire early Friday morning destroyed a home in Moody. According to reports, firefighters from five area department responded to the blaze at just before 1 am Friday morning. Moody FD responded and was assisted by Lanton, Howell Rural, Bakersfield and Caulfield Fire Department. They were at the scene until around 5:30 Friday morning. One firefighter had some problems breathing because of smoke inhalation, he was taken to OMC where he was treated and released. The Cause of the fire has not been determined.
