Independence County Authorities are investigating threats that were made to commit arson and to hurt law enforcement officers. The Sheriff’s Department released a statement saying that they have received information that individuals had made threats to burn houses and shoot officers as they exit their home. The investigation continues and police believe the threats may be coming from a prison gang.
