Five Thayer Residents Were Injured In An Accident South Of Brandsville

Five Thayer residents were seriously injured in a head-on crash in Brandsville this afternoon. The Highway Patrol says that 36 year old Stephanie Upton of Thayer crossed the center line and a hit a vehicle driven by 29 year old Robert Dyer Of Thayer. Upton and two juvenile passengers in her vehicle along with Dyer and 69 year old Alvin Dyer all suffered serious injuries. Robert and Alvin Dyer were both taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Stephanie Upton and one juvenile were taken to Cox South in Springfield. The other juvenile was taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. The accident happened just before 1 this afternoon on highway 63, one mile south of Brandsville.
