TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) Mason Jones scored 30 points and Jimmy Whitt Jr. added 26 as Arkansas beat Alabama 82-78 on Saturday night, ending Alabama’s eight-game home winning streak.
Jones and Whitt carried the Arkansas offense throughout the game, combining for nearly 70% of the Razorbacks points.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) Maik Kotsar had a season-high 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead South Carolina to a 76-54 victory over Missouri on Saturday.
Missouri has lost five of its past six games.
The Tigers were without second- and third-leading scorers Mark Smith and Jeremiah Tilmon for this one. Smith came out in the second half of Missouri’s last game with lower back issues and was out of the lineup at South Carolina.
Tilmon has missed the past eight games with a stress fracture in his left foot.
SPRINGFIELD – After a dismal start and then a furious comeback to take the lead in the second half, Missouri State faded down the stretch here Saturday in a 78-68 setback to visiting Indiana State at JQH Arena.
Gaige Prim led the Bears with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the game.
JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) Tyrell Gumbs-Frater had 24 points as Coastal Carolina got past Arkansas State 83-77 on Saturday.
Caleb Fields had 21 points for the Red Wolves (15-9, 7-6). J.J. Matthews added 19 points. Marquis Eaton had 15 points.
WEST PLAINS MO-The Missouri State west Plains Grizzlies lost to Sunrise Christian Academy on Saturday at the Civic Center 84-78. The Grizzlies drop to 8-and-17 on the season. MSU-WP have lost 8 of their last nine games. The Grizzlies host Nationwide Academy on Tuesday.
