Three people from Licking were injured in an accident Wednesday afternoon in Phelps County. The Highway Patrol reports that a truck driven by 52 year old Robert Rippe of St Charles began to slide on an icy road and slid across the centerline hitting a vehicle driven by 79 year old Olen Gibson of Licking. Olen Gibson suffered minor injuries and two passengers in his vehicle, 77 year old Frances Gibson and 96 year old Doris Lay both suffered moderate injuries. All three were taken to Phelps Health Hospital in Rolla. The accident happened on U.S. 63 just south of Phelps county road 6250
