A Cherokee Village man faces charges in Craighead County after he allegedly screamed and yelled at a 5 week old baby and knew about drug use in the trailer where the baby was. 26 year old Derek Brown was arrested Thursday on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a minor, first degree risk of death-physical injury. Craighead County Deputies were called to a home on county road 137 for a report of a baby not breathing. The Child was taken to a Memphis Hospital with bruising on the back and possible metaphysical fractures on the lower extremities. Brown allegedly admitted that he knew that meth was being used in the trailer, and to shaking the baby in a non-violent manner and letting the baby go without formula for at least one day. He is being held on $25,000 bond
