Slayton, Sloan & Eckman Join Community First Banking Company Board Of Directors

The Board of Directors, for Community First Banking Company, has announced that Kelly Slayton, Mark Sloan, and Bob Eckman have joined the board as Full Directors. All three have served as Advisory Directors since 2017. Andi Hilburn-Vaini and Traci Wiley now serve the board as Advisory Directors.

Slayton is the Senior Vice President/Chief Operations Officer (COO) and has been with Community First since 2006. She has 35 years of banking experience in Deposit Operations, Human Resources and Marketing. She is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, WI Human Resources School and their Advanced Human Resources program.

 

Sloan is the Executive Vice President/ Chief Lending Officer and has been with Community First since 2016.He served ten years in the U.S. Coast Guard where he worked in Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue. During his time in the Military, Sloan obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA. Sloan has 20 years of banking experience and started his career in banking with Bank of America in Kansas City where he managed multiple Banking Centers. Before joining Community First in 2016, he was the Branch Manager/Vice President of the Capital Farm Credit office in San Antonio, TX.

 

Eckman and his wife Rebecca have resided in Thayer, MO since 1984 where they raised 4 children. Bob, Rebecca, and Timothy own E-Communications, LLC, a five-station radio group that includes: K-Kountry 95, AM 1290 & FM 103.7 The Gift, KHOM 100.9 The Train and FM 107.1 K-LOVE. Bob has served on various civic and community boards including the West Plains and Thayer Chambers of Commerce, the Chancellors’ Advisory Board for Missouri State University and Arkansas State University, the OMC Foundation and the Missouri Broadcasters Associations where earned the Distinguished Broadcasters Award for the state of Missouri.

 

Hilburn-Vaini is the Owner-Operator of McDonald’s Restaurants in south central Missouri and northern Arkansas. She was born and raised in West Plains and graduated from West Plains High School. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and an MBA from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. Andi is a second-generation Owner/Operator and currently serves as Vice-President of the McDonald’s Ozark Co-Op and on the Regional Leadership Committee for Marketing.

Wiley is the owner of Wiley Insurance Agency LLC and co-owner of Wiley Fence Co in West Plains. She is a lifelong resident of West Plains and has served the insurance needs of the community and all of Missouri and Arkansas for over 25 years. Traci is a board member of West Plains Community Foundation, SCOCIC,  West Plains Lions Club, The Amelia Network, and in 2019, she was appointed by Governor Parsons, to serve on the Missouri Fire Education/Safety Advisory Commission. Traci has also been voted Best Businesswoman and Best Insurance Agency the last three years running.
