Last week a public meeting was held to discuss solar power in 11 north east Arkansas Counties. GRAF Energy has proposed that they install two solar centers, one in Evening Shade and the other in Strawberry. In may they will hold another meeting to answer questions about the project. The Solar centers would provide power to North Arkansas Electric Cooperative and Craighead Electric Cooperative. The new centers would serve 11 counties including, Baxter, Craighead, Crittenden, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Lawrence, Poinsett, Randolph, and Sharp Counties.
