
Arkansas health officials on Friday said the number of coronavirus cases in the state has risen to 100 people, including 13 residents and staff of a Little Rock nursing home.
The state announced that the number of cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, rose from 62 Thursday to 100.
For most people, the virus causes only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough. For some, especially older adults and people with preexisting health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.
In Missouri The Department of Health and Human services reports that as of Friday there were 73 confirmed cases in the state. The highest totals were in St Louis County with 12, Kansas City with 12 and Greene County with 8. There have been three deaths reported in Missouri because of the coronavirus.
