The National weather service is reporting that an EF 3 tornado touched down in Jonesboro Saturday. NWS says the storm had winds of up to 140 mph. Six people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but as many as 22 people were injured most were treated at the scene. The tornado destroyed the Mall at Turtle Creek and several other stores. Governor Asa Hutchinson says he is seeking a federal declaration of disaster. He says the businesses that were damaged are also eligible for COVID 19 unemployment.
