Yesterday in News I mistakenly said that a man was arrested at Wal-Mart in Ash Flat after he carried a rifle into the store. The man was not arrested he was just cited with misdemeanor charges.
Authorities were called to Wal-Mart in Ash Flat Friday for a report of a man entering the store with a rifle. The gun was not loaded and the man who’s name has not been released allegedly told authorities that he was demonstrating his second amendment rights. The man was cited for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. The police report the rifle was never in the man’s hands, it was carried over his back in a sling.
