State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick Talks About A Problem That Counties Still Face

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, or CARES, released more than$2 billion to Missouri. The state will designate some funds to each county and estimates $1.5 billion will be left over to help with over COVID-related costs. Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick is the chair of the committee working on the CARES funding. He says the state will have to quote “get creative” in order to maximize the money. Fitzpatrick is confident most areas will use the money, but there is one problem some counties still face.
