Police in West Plains are investigating a homicide from Saturday afternoon. According to the police report around 3 Saturday afternoon police responded to a residence on Lanton Road for a reported altercation between two males. During the altercation one of the two men produced a firearm and shot he second multiple times. The victim was taken to Ozarks Medical Center for treatment and where he was pronounced dead. The shooter was taken into custody. No names have been released at this time.
