There have been several accidents locally already this Memorial Day Weekend. Troop G of the Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a Mountain View man suffered serious injuries in an accident Saturday morning west of Mountain View. 29 year old Justin Grogan was injured when he drove off the road and overturned the vehicle he was driving. Grogan was also charged felony possession of meth, and three traffic violations. He was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on highway 60, 6 miles west of Mountain View. Then Saturday night three West Plains residents were injured in a one vehicle accident east of West Plains. The Highway Patrol says that 57 year old Junior Caughron, 48 year old Tracey Caughron and 35 year old John Culton all suffered minor injuries when Culton swerved to miss a deer, drove off the road and hit a concrete bridge abutment and the vehicle caught fire. All three were taken to OMC. The accident happened on county road 8240 about a mile east of West Plains. Then on Sunday a 15 year old Mountain Grove boy suffered moderate injuries in an ATV accident On Thornill Drive. The Highway Patrol says that the boy overturned the ATV on a trailer on private property. He as taken to OMC. Also Saturday afternoon, three people were injured in a two vehicle accident in Ozark County. The Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 28 year old Christopher Davis of Clark Ridge Arkansas crossed the centerline and hit a vehicle driven by Brian Moore of Mountain Home. Davis and two passenger in his vehicle, Kephart Davis and Naomi Shive, all suffered minor injuries. And were taken to the Baxter Regional Medical Center. Troop E of the Highway Patrol reports that a Doniphan Man was injured in an accident east of Doniphan Sunday. 25 year old Matthew Elder suffered minor injuries when the vehicle driven by 38 year old Michael Richmond of Doniphan ran off the road and hit a parked vehicle, causing the parked vehicle to hit him. The accident happened around 1:20 Sunday morning on old highway 142 east of Doniphan. Then Sunday night 29 year old Tiger Wilder of Naylor suffered minor injuries when 25 year old Kyle Wilder drove off the road and overturned the SUV he was driving. Tiger Wilder was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
