
Shannon County Health Center is announcing a second positive case of COVID-19 in Shannon County. The new case is under the age of 20 and a contact to the first case reported.
The patient’s identity will remain confidential, and no further personal information will be released. At this time, their symptoms do not require hospital care, and they are following all public health guidance for designated time of home isolation.
Neither one of these were travel-related cases. What that means is that they did not travel from an area with widespread community transmission. It does not mean that they have not been out of their house.
Signal Convenience Store in Mountain View reports two employees at the store have tested positive for the coronavirus. The store closed immediately when they learned of the test results, so they could deep clean. They are re-opened today.
There has also been new cases reported locally in Sharp county where they now report 45 cases which is up 3 from Wednesday. Thursday afternoon 1 new case was reported in Fulton County, 1 new case in Baxter County and 1 new case in Izard County.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services reports 12,673 cases with 707 deaths.
The Arkansas Department of Health reports 6,538 cases with 125 deaths.
