The Missouri State highway Patrol reports that a Winona woman was injured when she wrecked the car she was driving while intoxicated. 55 year old Deborah Applebaum suffered moderate injuries when she drove off the road, down a steep embankment and hit a tree. Applebaum was charged with Driving while intoxicated, Careless and imprudent driving and no seatbelt. Applebaum was taken to OMC in West Plains. The accident happened on U.S. 160 about two miles east of Alton.
