Monday morning some residents of Sharp county may have felt the earth shake. The U.S. Geologiocal Survey reports a magnitude 2.3 earthquake about 5 miles north of Williford. The earthquake happened around 4:25 Monday morning. The U.S. G.S. says the quake had a depth of 11.2 kilometers. There have been no reports of any damage or injuries because of the quake.
