Ozarka College is making progress toward its fall opening of the FNBC Technical Center in Ash Flat. The College is entering the installation phase for the Center’s Automotive Service and Diesel Technology division. This week the College installed multiple Two-post Lift Systems for the automotive laboratory.
The Automotive Service and Diesel Technology programs will be offering courses beginning this August.
Ozarka’s new technical programs will not only be offered to students traditionally enrolled at the College, but also to area high school students. In 2019, Ozarka College was officially designated as a regional Secondary Technical Center by the Career Education and Workforce Development Board. The College may now provide secondary technical training to area high school students. Secondary technical centers are designed to provide career and technical education programs too costly for the local high schools to offer.
