Authorities are still searching for a possible drowning victim on Spring River near Hardy. Around 3:45 Sunday afternoon a female is believed to have drown near High Falls. Just before 8 last night the Swift Water dive team from the Arkansas Game and Fish arrived at the scene but decided that the suction was too great into the hole of water and the hole was deeper beneath the falls than originally thought and the water was too swift to dive. The recovery was called off but will resume this morning. Authorities are using plywood to help divert the water to allow access for the divers. The female is allegedly from Paragould and was floating the river on tubes when she went over the falls. The woman’s name has not been released.
