A Pipe Bomb & Explosive Device Components Were Found At A Baxter County Residence

A Pipe bomb and explosive device components have been found in a Baxter County Residence. A joint investigation by the Baxter County sheriff’s Department, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was conducted involving homemade explosive devices and explosive components at a resident on County Road 1419 in Northern Baxter County. Authorities were called to the residence where they found a unidentified woman had suffered burns to her hands from black powder and Michael Cody Everett was found lying on the floor unresponsive but was breathing and was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center. Investigators observed drug paraphernalia in the house along with three firearms, two of which were sawed off shotguns, they were all loaded. Outside they found what is believed to be a homemade pipe bomb. After getting a search warrant investigator found a safe that contained Everett’s wallet along with digital scales, syringes, zip lock bags and seven pipes used to ingest drugs. There as also two chubs of Dyno Nobel Explosive Material weighing about 74 pounds along with fuses and a time fuse blasting cap. At this time Everett is still at the Hospital and evidence is being reviewed with charges pending.
