A man from Batesville has been arrested on drug trafficking charges after authorities found almost 3 pounds of meth. 43 year old Ernesto Salas Berdejo was arrested after a drug deal near the Jordan’s Convenience store in Melbourne. Izard County 16th judicial drug task force had the area under surveillance. Berjedo was stopped and a drug dog was deployed. Deputies seized 2.7 pounds of meth valued at $120,000 Bedejo is being held on $100,000 bond.
