A Mansfield Teenager was killed in an accident Saturday in Douglas County. The highway Patrol says 17 year old Maryan Smith was killed when the car she was driving had a tire blowout, causing her to lose control of the vehicle, travel off the road and overturn, ejecting Smith from the vehicle. The accident happened on Highway 5 about six and a half miles north of Ava.
