A man from Gamaliel has been arrested on assault charges after allegedly trying to hit a deputy with an ATV. 69 year old Edward John Mendoza is charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanors for reckless driving and operating an ATV on a public roadway. Mendoza was released on $15,000 bond and will be in court August 13th.
