West Plains Held A Public Hearing Monday To Discuss A Mask Ordinance

Monday the west Plains City Council held a public hearing to get public input on a possible mask ordinance. 28 people spoke at the meeting with an overwhelming number saying they were against the ordinance. 23 said they were against, 3 were for it and two did not state their position. One that got he most response from a large crowd gathered to watch was an Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran Jason Johnston

He talked about the economy

He said the Mask are just the start

Stacy McCallister also spoke

And Devin Judd

One of those for the Ordinance was West Plains School Superintendent Dr. Lori Wilson

The Council will have first reading of the ordinance on Monday at their regular meeting and if it is approved will have another meeting later in the week with a second reading and final vote.
