The trial of a former Baxter County deputy has been moved until October. 33-year-old Matthew Guthrie who also worked as a school resource officer at Cotter School was charged with seven counts of sexual assault involving a 16-year-old student. Guthrie was scheduled to go to trial next week but his attorney wanted the trial delayed because the start of school could create a problem with bringing in jurors.
