Storms Damage A Mobile Home & Vehicle In Sharp County But No Injuries, Trees And Power Lines Down Across The Area

Strong storms moved across Southern Missouri and northern Arkansas overnight last night causing several Power outages locally. There were several tornado warnings issues last night for northern Arkansas. There have been reports of trees and power lines down in Oregon, Howell and Shannon Counties. There have been no reports of and structural damage at this time in those counties. In Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts told me this morning they had a lot of trees and power line down, he said Evening Shade was the Hardest hit where a tree fell on a mobile home and a vehicle but thankfully no one was injured. He said they had power outages in Cherokee Village and in the Hardy area. In Randolph County there were reports of trees and power lines down and highway 67 north of Pocahontas was shut down for a while this morning. I talked to Thayer police and they said they had reports of a couple of trees down but no structure damage or injuries.  Howell Oregon Electric Coop Reported 777 members lost power in the Winona Area and another 117 north of West Plains. North Arkansas Electric Reported 43 members lost power in the Hardy area and they have reported restoring power to over 1,000 members.
