A woman from Brighton Missouri was injured in an accident Monday morning north of Gainesville. The Highway Patrol reports that 64-year-old Cheryl Whiteley suffered moderate injuries when 69-year-old Donald Pippen of Gainesville lost control of the SUV he was driving, crossed the centerline and hit the vehicle that Whiteley was driving. Whiteley was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center. the accident happened on highway 5 about 5 miles north of Gainesville.
