A man from Olathe Kansas was injured in a motorcycle accident in Howell County. The Highway patrol reports that 77-year-old Jimmie Girton suffered serious injuries when a car driven by 68-year-old Robert Chappuis of St. Francisville Louisiana stopped because of an animal and Girton hit the rear of the car, drove off the road and overturned the motorcycle. Girton was flown to Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. The accident happened on highway 14 about 10 miles west of West Plains Saturday morning.
