The Izard County School District has announced preliminary plans for the Izard County Track and Field Complex through social media and I talked to Superintendent Fred Walker about it
Mr. Walker said they have been planning this awhile
I asked how soon they plan to start construction
With the new complex, I ask him if they might add other sports in the future like football or soccer
He said Soccer was also something they would look at if enrollment increases. The new complex will be built east of the Gymnasium between the Gym and highway 9. They hope to have it completed by fall of 2021.
