Two people were injured in an accident east of Thayer Sunday afternoon. The Highway Patrol reports that 65-year-old Wanda Scallion of Gatewood and 66-year-old Monty Hubbard of Dennison Texas both suffered moderate injuries when Scallion crossed the centerline and hit the vehicle that Hubbard was driving. Hubbard was flown to UAMS in Little Rock, Scallion was taken to OMC in West Plains. The accident happened on highway 142 about 15 miles east of Thayer.
