Two people were injured in an accident Thursday evening in Texas County. The Highway Patrol reports that 24-year-old Seth Backues of Licking suffered moderate injuries and 18-year-old Kelsey Canterbury of Houston suffered minor injuries when Backues drove off the road, and hit a culvert and a utility pole. Both Backues and Canterbury were taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The accident happened on Missouri 137 near Rt VV.
