
West Plains Police are reporting a traffic stop leads to a drug arrest. Early Tuesday morning police stopped a vehicle on Leyda Street. 37-year-old Daniel Tilly of West Plains was the driver of the vehicle and reportedly continued to reach in the center console of the vehicle and was putting his hands in his pockets. The officer requested he exit the vehicle and a small plastic bag containing what is believed to be meth fell on the ground. Tilly was arrested and was taken to the Howell County jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold. Tilly has now been charged with possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or les marijuana. His bond was set at $5,000
