
Missouri has had almost 100 more traffic related deaths so far this year as compared to the same time last year. MODOT Director Patrick McKenna says that 70 percent of those killed were not wearing a seat belt.
McKenna says the state legislative priorities next year will include a proposed ban of the use of electronic devices while driving, a primary seat belt law and a 10-cent fuel tax increase over the next five years.
