
A Mountain Home man was arrested on drugs and firearms charges Wednesday. According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old William Colby Black was arrested after deputies responded to Baxter Regional Medical Center where a male subject was being treated for a possible gunshot wound. It was determined Black appeared to be on some sort of stimulant, Black told them that he and his wife were being chased by unknown people and they were shooting at him. Authorities checked the vehicle and found what appeared to be a bullet hole in the windshield and damage to weather stripping on the car door believed to be caused by a bullet. But they determined the bullet hole and damage were caused by a gunshot inside the vehicle. A 45-caliber handgun was found in the vehicle. Black is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance meth, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance schedule II, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance Schedule III, and felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms. His bond was set at $15,000.
