One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning in Lawrence County. The Arkansas State Police says that 20-year-old Shelby Plumley of Pocahontas was killed and 51-year-old Marty Champlin of Walnut Ridge was injured when Champlin’s pickup crossed the centerline and hit the SUV that Plumley was driving head-on. Champlin was taken to St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. The accident happened on highway 63 near Sedgewick.
