The Izard County Sheriff’s Office is reporting a couple of arrests. 36-year-old James Brink of Hardy was arrested after a traffic stop in Horseshoe Bend. Brink a convicted felon in Sharp county was in possession of a firearm that was reported stolen in Louisiana. Brink is charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons and theft by receiving. Brink’s bond was set at $10,000.
The same day the Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Dustin Brown of mount Pleasant on probation violations and while he was in jail, they found that Brown had pills on him. He is charged with furnishing prohibited articles and as a habitual offender. His bond was set at $20,000
