There Were 2 Vehicle Vs Train Crashes In Oregon County Friday Morning

A woman from Thayer suffered only minor injuries when the car she was driving was hit by a train Friday morning. The highway patrol says that 56-year-old Shanna Reef of Thayer was injured when she hit a northbound train driven by 49-year-old David King of Ava. Reef was taken to OMC in West Plains. The accident happened on county road 357 about a mile west of Thayer.

 

No one was injured when a train hit a SUV Friday morning in Koshkonong. The Highway Patrol reports that a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Max Benavidez of West Plains pulled into the path of a train driven by 57-year-old Mark Wigger of Springfield. No one was injured in the accident but the crossing was blocked for a while and traffic had to be detoured.
