The NWS’ Springfield office issued nine tornado warnings and 21 severe thunderstorm warnings on Saturday evening. The thunderstorm warnings were across their entire forecast area. There are no reports of any serious injuries from the storms. NWS Meteorologist Justin Titus said that we are in our secondary severe weather season and it is important to stay weather aware.
Locally we had Tornado warnings Saturday in Oregon, Howell, Shannon, Carter and Ripley Counties in Missouri and in Izard, Sharp, Lawrence and Randolph Counties in Arkansas.
