A prisoner at the Texas County jail has been found dead. Monday evening a 32-year-old Krystal Base of Licking was discovered unresponsive in a holding cell. Jail staff attempted medical aid and EMS was called and Base was still unresponsive, the coroner was called in and Base was pronounced dead. The MSHP division of Drug and Crime control is investigating the death.
