A Mansfield man suffered serious injuries in an accident north of Mountain Grove Friday. The Highway Patrol reports that 57-year-old Steven Childress was injured when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road and struck a sign, a fence and a tree. Childress was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on highway 95 about 4 miles north of mountain Grove.
