There will be a couple of Christmas parades in the region on Saturday.
The annual Hardy Christmas parade will be Saturday morning at 11:00. It will line-up in the lot across from the Valero station in Hardy, and will proceed through downtown Hardy, ending in the area of McDonalds. Patrons attending the parade are asked to social distance along the parade route.
The annual West Plains Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade will begin at 4:00, at the intersection of Porter Wagoner and Girdley. The parade route will be Porter Wagoner blvd all the way to the Armory.
A fundraiser Christmas event for the local Salvation Army is set for this Saturday evening at the Echoes of the Past Village north of Thayer. There will be a drive through Christmas light display, with caroling and a live nativity from 5:30 to 8:00 Saturday evening. Admission will be $5.00 per car load, and all proceeds will go to the Salvation Army. The Echoes of the Past Village is located just off highway 63, 2 miles north of Thayer.
