The Missouri State High School Activities Association recently released the new classifications and district assignments for basketball, and there has been some movement for local teams.
The Thayer Bobcats have been moved up to Class 3 and will play in District 11, which includes Caruthersville, East Carter, Malden, Portageville, Senath-Hornersville and Twin Rivers
West Plains will move up to Class 5 and will play in District 9, which includes Camdenton, Marshfield and Rolla.
Alton will remain in Class 2 and play in District 2 which will include Couch, Ellington, Naylor, Neelyville, Van Buren and Winona.
Ava, Mountain View/Birch Tree Liberty, Mountain Grove and Willow Springs all moved up to Class 4
